Team visit to Corinthian Mark Installation |
|
Corinthian Lodge of Mark Master Masons; No1052 held their Installation meeting on Thursday 24th October at Liverpool Masonic Hall. The Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master, Bro Keith Beardmore attended and brought the provincial team.
It must be OK! |
|
It was nice to see so many members of the Provincial team attending the meeting. The WM, WBro John Bruffell opened the Lodge, and worked his way through the summons till he reached the point when, WBro Arthur Robinson Provincial Grand DC announced that RWBro Keith Beardmore and his team required admittance.
Just like that! |
|
RWBro Keith Beardmore was offered the gavel and on this occasion accepted it. After the salutations, RWBro Keith Beardmore took time to introduce the members of the provincial team before returning the gavel to the WM. The WM asked WBro Chris Walls to take the chair as the Installing Master for the Installation ceremony.

After WBro Walls had put his officers in place for the Installation, WBro Andy Whittle presented the Master Elect, WBro Adrain Williams to WBro Walls, for the benefit of Installation. WBro Chris performed an excellent Installation ceremony. He also, gave the explanation of the working tools, before giving the address to the Worshipful Master.

I ran out of superlatives a long time ago to express the quality of the ceremonies preformed by WBro Chris Walls, and so excellent will have to do. The Keystone Jewel was presented to the Master by WBro Derek Gaskell. WBro David Atkinson, PrGSW, gave the Wardens address and WBro Alan Fairhurst who was resplendent in his chain after recently being promoted to GJD, gave the address to the Overseers.

To round off the addresses RWBro Keith Beardmore stepped forward to give the address to the Brethren and despite being interrupted during the address by someone’s phone going off, it was a faultless performance. Then it was all over. The PGM congratulated WBro Adrain Williams on taking the chair and WBro Chris Walls, on an excellent ceremony.

The PGM also congratulated WBro John Bruffell on his delegation skills. WBro Williams then presented a generous charity cheque made out to the WL Mark Charities to the PGM and this was received with thanks. With the Lodge closed it was time for a fine festive board. Present at the festive board were three non Mark Masons who were made to feel very welcome.

In response to the toast to his health, the PGM once again congratulated WBro Adrain Williams on taking the chair and then gave WBro Williams a field promotion to PPrGSD. The PGM also thanked WBro Chris Walls for the quality of the ceremony and this was accompanied with applause by those present.

RWBro Keith Beardmore outlined a new initiative involving the Overseers which will be rolled out soon. He also went on to say there are 5000 Craft Masons in the Province who are not yet in the Mark Degree and so that there is a good opportunity to recruit for new members for the Mark Degree. A very enjoyable evening for all and a meeting fitting for a team visit. We wish WBro Adrain Williams and Corinthian Mark Lodge a happy, healthy and successful season.
