On Saturday 9th of November the Lodge conducted two ceremonies; an Elevation and an Installation. However, the best laid plans can go astray, because on the morning there was a shortage of members, but with some creative thinking and a couple of visitors being persuaded to stay on from a previous meeting the meeting got underway.
The Worshipful Commander, WBro John Mackenzie opened the Lodge on time and approved the minutes. Salutations were then given to WBro Ian Clark, RAMGR, who was representing the Right Worshipful Grand Master and then it was time for the Elevation ceremony for Bro Roy Cowley.

The Commander performed the ceremony and was assisted by his Senior Warden Bro John Barnes and acting Junior Warden, WBro Steve Roberts, (one of the visitors who had been persuaded to stay on). Another visitor, WBro Derek Gaskell acted as the Senior Deacon and also explained the Signs and Working Tools to Bro Roy Cowley. With Bro Roy Cowley safely on board the Ark it was time to move on to the Installation.
With the offices in place for the ceremony, WBro Derek Gaskell, (now back acting as DC), presented the Commander Elect, Bro John Barnes to the Worshipful Commander for Installation. WBro Derek Gaskell gave the address to the New Commander and WBro Ian Clark gave a fine rendition of the Exposition.
With the ceremony complete WBro Ian Clark congratulated on behalf of the PGM, both WBro John Barnes for going into the Chair and John Mackenzie for the ceremony. Before the Lodge was closed, there was a proposition for two new members and so WBro John Barnes will have at least Elevation to do during his year in office. We wish the Lodge and New Commander a happy and productive season.
