Imperial Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 1276

Trial run for Imperial Mark Lodge at Blackpool Cricket Club 4th October 2024.
20 Mark Masons gathered at Blackpool Cricket Club for the first in series of meetings of Imperial Mark Lodge in their search for a new permanent home following the demise of Poulton Masonic Hall.
VWBro. Geoff Bury and WBro. Mike Pinkard both Assistant Provincial Grand Masters, were in attendance along with WBro. James Rashid Prov AGDC, WBro. Tony Thackrah Prov G Registrar and WBro. Tony Cross PGM’s Special Rep.
The WM, WBro. Andy Stansfield welcomed everybody and opened the Lodge and then offered the gavel to VWBro. Bury who thanked the WM and returned it to his safe keeping.
The items on the summons were worked through in a businesslike manner by the WM.
The two APGM’s both gave a view on the search for a new home for the Lodge and asked that the members considered the long term effects on the Lodge of any proposed solution and asked that a global view considering all the factors be used to arrive at a final decision for the Lodges future home.
Other business was carried out which resulted in WBro. Stansfield to remain as WM for the following year and WBro. Chris Sage will remain as treasurer.

The Lodge was closed and the furniture packed away and the Brethren sat down to hot pot, chips with beetroot and red cabbage followed by a Biscoff cheesecake all served by the Cricket Club staff. Spare cheesecakes were eagerly devoured by working guests and Lodge members.
A raffle organized and ultimately won by WBro. Shaun Haynes raised £90. He donated the bottle of JD back to the Lodge for the raffle at the upcoming installation, which is proposed to be held at Fleetwood Masonic Hall in December.
An enjoyable night with lively conversation and discussion was had by all!
