Advancement at Corinthian
 
At their meeting held on 27th February, Corinthian Mark Lodge No 1052; advanced another new candidate. The meeting was held in the Egyptian Room, at Liverpool Masonic Hall.
Ray Parr; James Langley
The Lodge was opened by the WM, WBro Adrian Williams and one the early items on the agenda was to the Install the Senior Warden, Bro Ian Hayhurst; who had not been well at the time of the Installation meeting. With the new Senior Warden safely in place, WBro Derek Gaskell stepped forward and delivered the Wardens Address.

The next item was a successful ballot for Bro James Langley. The candidate entered the Lodge and was guided through the travails of the advancement ceremony, by the Senior Deacon, Bro Ray Parr. WBro Adrian Williams and his team performed a very enjoyable ceremony, which was enjoyed by the candidate and all present. When Bro James Langley had been safely advanced, WBro Steve Walls the PGM’s Special Rep for the Liverpool Group, welcomed James into Mark Degree.
 
Steve also presented James with a letter of welcome from the PGM. This letter also contained a voucher for a reduction in the price of the meal at this year’s Provincial Grand Mark Lodge, which will be held at Blackpool Winter Gardens on 8th May, 2025.

Congratulations were given during the risings to members of the Lodge who have been named in this year’s appointments. WBro Jason Hengler gets a promotion to PrDGSwdB. There is a first appointment for WBro Chris Bruffell to PPrADC and there is also confirmation of the field promotion for WBro Adrian Williams, to PPrGSD that had taken place at the Installation meeting on 24th October 2024. These where all greeted with applause. We hope that they all have a good day out when they attend Provincial Grand Lodge in May.
