Bispham with Norbreck Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 866
Installation meeting on Friday 14th February 2025 at the Masonic Hall, Adelaide Street, Blackpool
 
WBro. Michael Jeremy Pinckard PGStwd, Assistant Provincial Grand Master was in attendance.
The WM, WBro. Gordon Ivett opened the Lodge and worked through the summons for one last time.
WBro. Pinckard and the other Grand and acting Provincial Officers were admitted to the Lodge. The WM offered WBro. Pinckard the gavel of the Lodge which he duly accepted and quickly returned!
 
WBro. James Rashid ProvAGDC conducted extensive salutations.
The next business was the installation of Bro. Joe Codling SW of the Lodge as WM.
 
WBro. Andrew Stansfield acted as SW, WBro. Roger Stansfield as JW and WBro. Clive Gitsham acted as Inner Guard during the ceremony.
The Master elect was presented and subsequently installed in a fine form and in an exemplary manner by WBro. Peter Maxwell, WBro. John Chapman and WBro. Alan Barnes. The ceremony being split up to allow all four to participate.

  • WBro. Andrew Dickson PGSD, ProvDep GSec (Wardens)
  • WBro. Mike Pinckard PGStwd, Asst PGM (Brethren)
WBro. Pinckard, brought the WM the congratulations of the RWPGM and wished the Brethren well and hoped the Lodge has a successful and busy year. He congratulated all who took part in the ceremony.
The WM presented WBro. Pinckard with a cheque for £866 pounds for the WLMCF.
The WM proceeded with the remaining business on the summons which included the presentation of 3 Grand Lodge Certificates which was carried out by WBro. Berkley with his usual style and panache.
The WM closed the Lodge and the Brethren assembled in the bar for pre dinner refreshments and onto the festive board.
Lively and sparkling conversation with a great atmosphere accompanied the meal.
WBro. Pinckard responded to the toast to his health and outlined the RWPGM’s hopes and wishes for the future on a number of topics including recruitment for the Mark and Royal Ark Mariners degree and not forgetting the need to recruit for the Craft as without it the Mark would not prosper.
A raffle organized by WBro. Steve Smith ProvGSwdB raised £160!
An excellent night, superbly organised by WBro Andrew Dickson PGSD, Prov Dep GSec for the last time before his retirement as Lodge Secretary after 17 years was had by all!
