| Last night Bro Neil Bramwell was advanced into Leyland Mark 1002, the ballot having proved unanimously in favour. | |
| The WM, W.Bro Roy Hayes began the proceedings, delivering the first part of the ceremony and the obligation faultlessly. | |

| Bro Neil was conducted around the lodge by the SD Bro. Michael Kipping in an exemplary manner, ably assisted by W.Bro Gordon Mclellan as acting JD, with the second part of the ceremony being delivered by W. Bro. John Dean, again in a superb fashion. | |
| The atmosphere was typically jovial, yet dignified, synonymous with the ethos of ‘The Friendly Degree’. | |
| The ritual was impeccably recounted by all concerned, having been well organised and overseen by the DC team of W.Bros Steve Hallam and Dave Johnson. | |
| The whole event was a joy to witness, with the festive board being very enjoyable and Bro. Bramwell had the broadest smile throughout the evening. | |
