The meeting was held at Ormskirk Masonic Hall on 13th February. Among the visitors on the night was WBro Kevin Chicken, the Provincial Grand Secretary. Kevin was joined by VWBro Maurice Evans the PGM’s Special Rep for the Ormskirk area and his deputy WBro Roy Hedges. | |

After a successful ballot for Bros; Philip Pattullo and Steve Williams, the Commander, WBro Paul Carr worked his way through the ceremony of Elevation. Assisting the Commander were; Bro Stuart Cunningham the Senior Deacon; Bro Colin Shannon, Junior Warden. The Senior Warden, Bro Neil Cooper who gave the explanation of the steps. WBro John Rawcliffe gave an excellent explanation of the Working Tools and the acting Junior Deacon, WBro Derek Gaskell, explained the Signs. | |
At the end of the ceremony, WBro Paul Carr welcomed Philip and Steve to the lodge and WBro Maurice Evans welcomed them both to the Royal Ark Mariner Degree. | |

It was then time to elect of the officers for the ensuing year. Bro Neil Cooper was declared Commander elect; WBro Graham Radford remained as Treasurer and as is custom in the Lodge WBro Bill Nolan became to Warder. It was a very enjoyable evening, which was complimented by an equally enjoyable festive board. | |
Although this was the Lodge’s last meeting until the new season in October; the Commander and Philip and Steve will be able to attend the Provincial Royal Ark Mariner Assembly to be held on Tuesday, 16th September, 2025, at Brookfield Masonic Hall, Peel St., Westhoughton; BL5 3SP. | |
