Well, what a prestigious night, Fermor Mark is tonight celebrating Roger Watkinson’s 50 years of membership.
Roger was Advanced into Fermor Mark Lodge in 1975.
The members and guests
At the request of our APGM, V.W.Bro. Geoffrey Michael Bury, the Pr.AGDC, W.Bro Roy,  present Roger to him, who then placed him into the chair of the lodge.
The large gathering of Grand Officers
V.W Bro. Geoff, then presented an excellent “curriculum vitae” of not only Roger's life and work as a Freemason, but also as a father, husband and musician.
The Executive, D.S.Rep and W.M congratulate the Celebrant
Rogers is so highly appreciated,  that even this smaller Lodge had an excellent turnout of guests, Inc our other APGM, W. Bro. Mike Pinkard.
The cake presentation
Certificates from Grand Lodge and Provincial Grand Lodge was then read in open Lodge by our Pr.G.Sec.,  W.Bro. Kevin Chicken.
Pictures from the excellent brochure supplied to us all
This was present to the celebrant by Geoff,  along with a bound copy of the C.V, so ably delivered.
The Lodge retired to dine, and on Rogers  presentation, spontaneous  applause, a statement of affirmation then rang out.
After the Festive Board and wine takings, W.Bro. David Rigby Pr.AGDC requested W.Bro. Roy Crawford to propose a toast to the health of our celebrant, which he did with aplomb.
Now it was the celebrants turn, in reply to the toast to his health, Roger rose and started with “Now I will tell you how it really was”, there followed a humorous and eloquent speech, follow by a presentation of a cake. This was cut and distributed to the Brethren.
The board closed at 9.50 pm, after which, Roger as he had done all night, rushed to the piano  to play for the Tyler’s toast.
An excellent evening was had by all!
Congratulations Roger.
