WBro. David Sear PAGDC, Special Representative for Barrow, Garstang, Lancaster, Morecambe & Ulverston areas, was in attendance as the representative of the RWPGM. | |
The WM, Bro. Michael Notman opened the Lodge at 6.00pm and worked through the business on the summons. |
|
Once all the preliminary business of the Lodge had been carried out the representative of the RWPGM accompanied by Grand Officers and acting Provincial Officers entered the Lodge and were warmly welcomed by the WM. | |
29 Brethren were present including two unattached Brothers; Bro David Randerson and Bro Stuart Thornber, on a repeat visit to the Lodge (maybe looking to join???) | |
The WM proceeded to install his successor Bro. David Pallister into the chair of Adoniram. The WM performed the first part of the ceremony and WBro. Mark Brown the inner workings. Both parts being carried out with sincerity and in an excellent manner. | |
WBro. Paul Frieberg PProvGSD presented the keystone and charity jewel collarettes to the new WM. | |
WBro. David Kenworthy PProvGSO presented the Working Tools. | |

WBro. Sear congratulated the WM on behalf of the RWPGM and wished all the Brethren well and hoped they have a happy, healthy and busy year ahead with plenty of work to do. | |
The WM closed the Lodge and all retired to the bar for an aperitif prior to repairing to the dining room for an excellent meal of: prawn cocktail, fillet steak & chips, sticky toffee pudding and coffee. | |
Lively discussion accompanied the meal, wine takings (including one to a non-Mark Mason who may be future candidate) and toasts. | |
Two cheques for charity were presented to the representative by the IPM for £440 to the WLMCF and £440 for the Lytham RNLI. Total £880 charitable donation! | |
A St. Annes swindle raffle organised by WBro. Tony Farrar raised £201 for Masonic Charities! | |
An excellent night of Mark Masonry, with excellent and sincere ritual, a great atmosphere and good craic was enjoyed by all! | |
