| Tonight is another excellent night in Mark Masonry, Southport Mark Lodge is advancing two new Brethren into the Mark Family. | |
| Due to illness and absence, the DC was able to call upon the past masters for assistance. With 10 mins notice, to a man, the answer was “YES”. Such is the nature and quality available. | |

| The Lodge opened at 6pm, and after the usual business, W. Bro Brian Charles Povey was presented to the WM and brethren, on his promotion to Grand Steward, which was met with aplomb. | |
| Brothers, Graham Peter Downey and Peter Miguel Lower, were admitted in due form. They were jointly entrusted as Mark Men and retired. | |
| On their re-admittance, separately, the ceremony continued until both were reunited. | |

| W.Bro. Roy Hedges explained the working tools. Roy then presented the candidates with a welcome letter from the R.W.P.G.M, explaining its contents. The Lodge was closed at 8pm | |
