Taylor made for Jubilee |
|
Ulverston Masonic Hall was the setting for the latest meeting of Jubilee Mark Lodge No 375 which witnessed Tony Taylor being advanced into the order.
Alan Jones, Stuart Brackstone, Steve Ellershaw, Tony Taylor and Brian Benn |
|
Tony is a very committed mason and his work in other orders has seen him grow a reputation as being a very good ritualist. He should prove to be an excellent addition to Mark masonry in general and Jubilee Mark Lodge in particular.
I can assure you that I am not just saying nice things about him simply because he is a 5th dan black belt and chief instructor at Ulverston Karate Academy!
The first part of the ceremony was undertaken by Worshipful Master Steve Ellershaw who handed over to Alan Jones following the obligation.
Alan was assisted by lodge secretary, and Tony’s proposer, Brian Benn who presented and explained the working tools. The final piece of ritual, when Tony was congratulated on his admission, was orated by Stuart Brackstone who had seconded Tony’s membership.
The Brethren at refreshment

All played their part well and it was a delight to observe.
Also meriting a mention is David I.W. Smith for the very able way in which he conducted the candidate through the ceremony in his role of senior deacon.
Pie and peas proved a very acceptable supper at the festive board when the camaraderie of the order was very much in evidence.
