Fylde Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 296
 
Meeting 23rd April 2026 at the Masonic Hall, Adelaide Street, Blackpool.
31 Brethren present including the RWPGM and the Deputy PGM.

The following WM’s were also present:

  • WBro. Alan Davis - Semper Fidelis
3 newly appointed Provincial Officers were present:
  • WBro. Paul Smedley, (Prov JGW)
  • WBro. Bob Staffor (Prov GSO)
  • WBro. Tony Thackrah (Prov Greg)
The WM, WBro. Dennis Askahm opened the meeting at 18.30hrs
The WM offered the RWPGM the gavel of the Lodge, which was accepted and returned.
The business on the summons was worked through up to and including a lecture by WBro. Tony Cross on the Overseers and their importance in the advancement ceremony in setting the scene for the candidate and the theatrics that create the drama of the story of the keystone.
A Grand Lodge certificate was presented to Bro. Luke Bodenham by the RWPGM. Bro. Luke being his recently advanced candidate.
All the business being completed, the WM closed the Lodge and the members and visitors retired to the bar and onto the festive board, where an excellent meal accompanied by a lively atmosphere and good craic was found.
WBro. Peter Green the Lodge Chairty Steward assisted by WBro. Craig Scott organised a raffle that raised £155 for charity.
 
A good night was definitely had by all!
