VW Bro Don Richardson's 50th

A very enjoyable evening was had at Preston Mark Lodge’s March Meeting, to celebrate V.W.Bro. Don Richardson’s 50 years in Mark Masonry. The meeting was attended by the Rt.Worshipful Provincial Grand Master accompanied by Assistant P.G.M. W.Bro. Keith Beardmore, Prov. Grand Sec. Geoffrey Lee and other well known Grand and Prov. Grand officers.

The P.G.M. took the chair and highlighted V. W. Bro. Don's Masonic career. He was then presented with a copy of his career and a personal congratulation letter from the Grand Master.

V.W.Bro. Don was initiated into Anchor Lodge No.1337 in 1959 and was advanced into Preston Mark Lodge No.143 in 1961.

 

He attained the chair of Adoniram in 1968 and was honoured by being appointed Provincial Junior Warden in 1972, Grand Junior Deacon in 1975, and Past Grand Junior Overseer in 1984. He is well known in the North West for his talks on many aspects of freemasonry. In addition to his Masonic commitments, he was a lecturer and head of department for 32yrs at 2 agricultural colleges. Family life has always been of great importance to Don, being married over 50 yrs, with 3 married daughters and 6 grandchildren to fully occupy his spare time.
