Ken Alker takes Craft Chair For 3rd Time

The Provincial Grand Masters Special Representative for Wigan and District Mark Lodges, W Bro Ken Alker was recently installed into the chair of his Craft Lodge for the third time by W Bro Tony Eddon. Ken was first installed as master of Exemplar Lodge No 5075 in 1992 and then again in 1999.

Exemplar meets at Swinton Masonic and at the Installation The Venerable Alan Wolstencroft, Craft Assistant Grand Chaplain was the principal guest. Mark Provincial Grand Master, Peter Connolly was also present, accompanied by other Craft Grand Officers including David Walmsley (Eccles and District Craft Group Vice Chairman) and several others from the Mark Degree.

Alan congratulated Ken on his being installed as master of the lodge for the third time and he also congratulated Tony and all the other officer’s for their hard work in what had been a very good ceremony.

After Exemplars legendary five course festive board with drinks throughout, Alan responded to the toast to the health of Grand officer’s and wished Ken a good and enjoyable year in office. Alan said how much of a pleasure it was to be at Exemplar and once again congratulated Tony and the other officers involved in the installation and commented how good ritual lifts us.
