Bootle Mark 478 Advancment December 2012

 
Only a year ago Bootle Mark lodge 478 was
dwindling. Thanks to support from other masons
using the Litherland Masonic Hall, it is now growing.
 
The PGM visited Bootle last night, to greet the new
advancee Bro Eric Smith (who has his own book
keeping business) ---- (not book making!!!)
 
An excellent ceremony was given by W Bro. Barry
Hesketh (Secretary), in the absence of the WM.
Barry is repeating the ceremony at Freshfield Lodge,
Southport, on Friday.
 
The SD is W. Bro. Ken Meath, Prov ADC, on the team:
and JD is Bro Barry Jones . It was  Barry's 3rd
meeting and the only time he had seen the ceremony
before was at his own advancement!
 
All completed with aplomb snd skill. But then Barry is
currently WM of Eureka Craft lodge and has already
done an initiation and Fellowcraft ceremonies.

The PGM was delighted to renew acquaintance with
all the members, many friends and especially the
newer brethren since his last visit, Bro's Ian Beckett
(SW), AE Wright (SO), and Barry (JD).
 
Our new MMM,  Eric responded most appropriately to
the toast to his health, said he had been impressed
with the ritual, and thanked those who had worked to
make it successful.
 
The WM and  PGM were pleased to welcome Bro. Sean Lavery  (who is not yet a MMM) to dinner.
 
Also Bro. Paul Carr who is WM of Ormskirk Mark lodge
 
A very homely evening, presided over by the new
lodge DC WBro J Hawkshaw, who had been on the
Prov Team last year .
