Passed to Higher Service 20th April 2024

V. W. Bro. Eric passed to higher service on Saturday 20th April 2024 in Whiston Hospital having been ill for most of 2023 and into 2024. He died after a peaceful nights sleep and his daughter Norma, who was also in Whiston Hospital was informed by nursing staff and was with him when it happened.

Funeral arrangements are;

Tuesday 7th May 2024 at 2.00pm, at Mossley Hill Church, corner of Rose Lane and Mossley Hill Road, Liverpool L18 8DB (there is reasonable parking there) and afterwards, Springwood Crematorium ( family only) followed by reception at Garston Masonic Hall, Island Road South, Liverpool, L19 5NT.

Eric was very well known and liked throughout the Province of West Lancashire and it would be a nice tribute to see a good attendance at the funeral.

Anyone wishing to go to the reception and buffet afterwards is advised to email his daughter Norma to establish numbers so please send her an email stating who you are to norma@normahughes.com

Eric will be sadly missed particularly in the Garston Area of Liverpool where he attended nearly all Mark and RAM Lodges for many years but also toured the Province as often as possible to join in Mark and RAM masonry.
