The Magic of the Mark
Welcome to The West Lancashire Mark Masons Web Site
Keith Beardmore
Brethren,
We have finally (for some) reached the summer recess in our Mark activities, culminating at Grand Lodge in London on Tuesday 7th June.
There was a tremendous turn out to see the New Assistant Grand Master invested followed by the appointment of the new Acting and Past Grand Appointments.
Over 860 Mark Brethren dined at the Grand Connaught Rooms, with 40 West Lancashire Brethren amongst them, along with a number of our Brethren who attended the meeting but not dining.
The Pro Grand Master was in attendance and after the Investiture announce the launch of the “Magic of the Mark” video of which a link is now available on our own West Lancs website.
This new video will be able to push out the selling points of our Order to those interested in expanding their Masonic experience.
I congratulate all our Brethren appointed and invested at the meeting, please take the opportunity to use your new ranks to benefit your Lodges and the Province in every way possible.
At Provincial Grand Lodge at Blackpool in May we noticed a more relaxed atmosphere as Brethren are looking to put the stresses of the pandemic behind them, whilst yet still being mindful that COVID will be with us for a long time to come albeit in less critical form.
The meeting was well attended with a good number of Distinguished  Brethren, both visiting and from our own Province in attendance.
The Deputy Grand Master graced us with his presence on the day and he was in very good form indeed. I spoke with him at Grand Lodge and he commented on how much he had enjoyed the meeting and being in the company of such enthusiastic West Lancashire Brethren.
The West Lancs Executive will remain busy through the summer (recess?) visiting other Provinces for their annual meetings and networking with the Provinces and MMH representatives in the process.
Now that we can confidently look forward to a full resumption of our Mark activities in the new season from September this should be a bench mark to also renew our recruitment activities and earmark some of those younger Craft Masons by showing them the new video presentation.
Give them the YouTube link or the QR code to access this presentation which is very impressive and I can say with some pride that I was involved in the production.

Enjoy the summer and I look forward to seeming you all in the New Mark Masonic Season.

MARK WELL
